1. Write a paragraph on “A Dream School”.

A / My Dream School 

A/My dream school would be a fun and engaging place where learning is an adventure. It is a school that values the uniqueness of each student and encourages them to express themselves creatively. The classrooms are bright and colourful, filled with posters and interactive displays that make learning exciting.

The teachers are friendly and approachable, always ready to answer questions and provide guidance. The school has a variety of extracurricular activities such as sports, music, and arts that allow students to explore their interests and develop new skills.

The campus is safe and secure, with a playground and a garden where students can play and learn about nature. A/My dream school also has a library filled with books on different subjects that students can borrow and read. Overall, a/my dream school is a place where students feel happy, safe, and inspired to learn and grow.

2. Write a paragraph on “Respect for Others”.

Respect for Others 

Ans. Respect for others is an essential aspect of a civilized society. It is the recognition of the inherent worth and value of each individual, regardless of their background, beliefs, or status. Respectful behaviour involves treating others with dignity, empathy, and courtesy.

It means being mindful of others’ feelings, opinions, and needs, and taking them into consideation when interacting with them. Showing respect for others can take many forms, such as listening attentively, speaking politely, avoiding derogatory language or actions, and honouring others’ boundaries. Respectful behaviour fosters a sense of trust, understanding, and cooperation among individuals and promotes a harmonious community.

Moreover, it contributes to one’s personal grwoth by enhancing self- awareness and empathy towards others. However, respect for others is a fundamental value that promotes social cohesion, creates positive relationships, and makes the world a better place to live. 

3. Write a paragraph on ‘Your Favourite Teacher’.

My Favourite Teacher 

A student is taught by many teachers. Some of them charm the students with their unique quality of teaching. I have got such a teacher. His name is Anisur Rahman. He is my favourite teacher. He is an M.A. in English. He teaches us English. The method of his teaching is very easy and lucid. He has a pleasant yoice. He adopts communicative method of teaching in the classroom.

He also makes the lesson interesting. He maintains an amiable relation with all his students. He takes special care for the weak students. If any student fails to understand any lesson, he tries again and again to make him understand. He is very kind hearted to the poor students. He leads a very simple life. He is honest, easy and lucid sincere and dutiful. He is my best teacher, guide and friend. I’ll never forget him.

4. Write a paragraph on ‘Water Pollution and Ways of Purification’.

Water Pollution and Ways of Purification 

Water pollution means contamination of surface and drinking water to the extent that they are harmful to use. No living being can hardly survive a few days without water. Hence water is an essential element of naurent polluted water is very harmful as it causes death threatening diseases like diarrhoea, cholera, jaundice etc. It can be polluted in many ways. Man pollutes water by throwing waste materials into Using chemical fertilizers and insecticides farmers pollute water.

Rain and floods wash away these chemical fertilizers and insecticides to rivers, canals and ponds and thus water is polluted poisonous chemicals are used in mills and factories. Throwing their waste products into rivers and canals, they pollute water. People become ill by drinking and bathing in the polluted water. So, water pollution should be prevented. For this, we should not throw waste and filth into the water of rivers and canals.

Besides, by checking the dumping of factory waste, water pollution can be minimized. Also water treatment plant can be set up in mills and factories for this purpose. On the other hand, we can also purify water by boiling or using purification tablets. So, to keep good health, we must try to prevent water pollution.

5. Write a paragraph on “Our War of Independence”. 

Our War of Independence 

The war that usually takes place for the independence of a land enduring injustice, exploitation and deprivation is called the war of independence. The people of this land dreamt of independence in the face of injustice they received from the rulers of the then Pakistan. When the freedom loving people of this land raised their voice against injustice and exploitation, the Pakistani rulers set their armed forces on the civilian people of this land. To put down the voice of the freedom loving people the occupation forces brought about massacre at night on 25 March 1971.

This launched our War of Independence. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the pioneer of our freedom fighting, was arrested. People from all sections, irrespective of caste and creed, race and religion, came out with rustic weapons to fight the occupation forces. They fought guerrilla fighting against occupation forces who were armed to the teeth. A force called Mukti Bahini was formed.

They fought dividing the country into eleven sectors. The occupation forces killed civilian people indiscriminately including intellectuals, doctors, engineers and teachers. But they could not materialise their evil end. They gave in to the will of the people of this land. At last on 16 December 1971 people of this land got victory and a country named Bangladesh came into being. Every year we celebrate our Independence Day with great enthusiasm.

6. Write a paragraph on ‘Your Reading Room’.

My Reading Room 

A reading room is a room that is used for reading. Almost every student has a reading room. I have also owned a reading room. It is situated in the south of our house. Its size is about 12 feet long and 10 feet wide. There are a door and two windows in my reading room. It is well ventilated. Enough sunlight and air enter my room. There are some furniture like a chair, a table, a bamboo made bookshelf and a small coach in my reading room. There are a calendar and two framed paintings hung on the wall in my reading room.

There are a table lamp and a vase on the table. There are other facilities like an audio set and a wooden sculpture and a small artificial plant. My reading room is a very quiet one. Through the window of my reading room an open field can be seen. Sometimes I become relaxed looking at the green field through the window. On the whole my reading room is a very good one. 

7. Write a paragraph on “Our National Memorial”. 

Our National Memorial 

The National Memorial at Savar is a symbol of the nation’s respect for the martyrs of the War of Liberation. It is built with concrete but made of blood. It is an achievement the dimensions of which can be measured but it stands for an achievement which is immeasurable. It stands upright for the millions of martyrs who laid down their lives so that we may stand upright, in honour and dignity, amongst the nations of the world.

Most prominently visible is the 150 feet tower. There is actually a series of 7 towers that rise by stages to a height of 150 feet. The foundation was laid on the first anniversary of the Victory day. There is actually a plan to build a huge complex in several phases. The entire complex will cover an area of 126 acres. The plan of this complex includes a mosque, a library and a museum.

The relics of the Liberation War will be kept in the museum. They will ever remind our countrymen and all who would come to visit the museum of the valiant struggle and supreme sacrifices of a freedom loving people. Here also will be a clear warning to all oppressors that the weapons of freedom need not be very big and that oppression will always be defeated. The will of people prevails for man is born to be free.

The most moving sight of the complex is the several graves of the martyred freedom fighters; close to the tower. Standing in front of the graves we bow down our heads in respect, as the towers soar up symbolizing the loftiness of the spirit.
